Outfit #1

Ah, it's time for my first outfit post... I'm not sure if it's amazing, since compared to most of yours, it's not very interesting or unique at all. So, forgive me if I've let anyone down.

t-shirt: h&m
tank (underneath. i don't think you can see it here): aeropostale
jeans: delias
shoes: steve madden
scarf: somewhere in china...

This picture is so creepy. It looks like I only have one arm...

There's this one girl in my art class who wears a scarf every single day. I just thought it was really hilarious, so I wore one too. So, I think I wore this Wednesday? It was the one day that I carried a bag for my school supplies, and I had to constantly change the shoulder that the bag was on because my shoulder was dying. I'm not sure if it was the rope as the handles or if it was the overall weight of the bag that caused all my soreness. There's really no point in that little tidbit of info there, just my complaining.

I was watching The O.C. on dvd today (season 1) and it reminded me of this song that I love so much:

Two summers ago, I was so in love with this song. It was on constantly on my iPod. When I went to my friend's house, I downloaded it onto her iPod and made her play it too.

Song: Forever Young
Artist: Youth Group (covered by Youth Group. originally by Alphaville)

Us

This video matches her voice so perfectly, it really is amazing. Oh how I wish real life could be as interesting and haunting. I'm not even sure how this video is creepy, but it definitely is. Maybe it's the jerky movements or the mysterious moving objects but either way, the song and video are "contagious."

Oh, and I want that suit she's wearing. The detailing on it is so fascinating.

Enjoy watching it.
Song: Us
Artist: Regina Spektor

Update:
Lately I've really been looking into Willa Holland's style (April) in Garden Party and I'm definitely falling in love with it. It's so simple with nothing over the top and everything is so easy to mix and match with. There are some bold statement pieces that make everything fall into place and seem so quirky and magnificent. Take a look:

Girls Do What They Want

"Girls do what they want (woah oh woah oh)"

What better of a quote or rather, song lyric, could sum up my day? Or not really my day, but my whole summer... FYI, the song lyric is from Girls Do What They Want by The Maine. On the subject of The Maine, they came out with their first actual album today. How exciting is that? Do check it out. It's called Can't Stop Won't Stop. I do believe that it's taken from a line in one of the songs.

Still on that topic, Danger Radio ALSO released a CD album today. This one's called Used and Abused. I haven't listened to it yet, but being an avid fan (not really avid... maybe just a normal fan), I'm sure that the music will be great just as usual. In order to take up some space so that I can put in another picture without them getting all squished together, I'll delve into the word avid. Isn't it just wonderful? Okay, enough of that.

I really wanted to make a post dedicated to today's releases, but I realized that I really wouldn't be able to write very much. So I'm sort of going to add in another tidbit of information:

Because of my recently broken (I can't think up of a suitable word, so I'll just use the most boring one) camera, I'm not going to be able to put up outfits so instead, I'll put up interesting pictures in their place. Today's picture is:

Magazine: Numero 94
Issue: June/July 2008
Model: Natasa Vojnovic
Photographer: Alix Malka

I wish I could make this picture bigger, but I can't without it getting all fuzzy and that bothers the crapola out of me. The picture is so dreamy and creepy all wrapped into one. Doesn't it make you worry about this ever happening to you? Being submerged into a deep lake wearing a floaty outfit which will just float right back up to the surface? To me, that whole floaty clothing thing is either a check or a minus. Sometimes it can just look cheesy.

BTW, if you're wondering, I'm getting all or most of these pictures off the Livejournal community, Mixologies. It's rather awesome. I recommend you check it out.
